Darren moved from Sacramento, CA, to the Reno area in 2007 to attend college at the University of Nevada, Reno. The California native enjoyed living in Northern Nevada so much that he never left. While working in the hospital, Darren became interested in GI care and began to work at GIC in 2014. There, he grew to love many aspects of GI care during his time working in outpatient endoscopy.

While Darren enjoys all aspects of gastroenterology, he has a special interest in treating and educating patients with GERD and inflammatory bowel disease. He finds utilizing new treatment modalities for hepatitis exciting. Darren’s goal is to provide excellent clinical GI care by listening to what his patients need and integrating those aspects into the plan of care.

Outside of work, Darren loves to spend time with his family and friends. His hobbies include camping, hiking, swimming, going to concerts and heading to San Francisco to catch a Giants game whenever possible.
