Dr. Nachiondo is native to Northern Nevada, having grown up in Winnemucca. He attended Santa Clara University for undergraduate studies, and he remained in the San Francisco Bay Area for three more years working in the biotechnology research arena. In 1994, Dr. Nachiondo returned to his home state to attend medical school. After completing seven years of post-medical school training in Portland, Oregon, family and the lifestyle that Reno offers were vital reasons for his return to the Reno-Sparks area.
Dr. Nachiondo enjoys working at Gastroenterology Consultants due to the collegiality and the amazing level of skill displayed by all providers. He notes that the staff is exceptional and strives to be an important part of the medical team, providing excellent GI/Hepatology care to the Northern Nevada region. He enjoys working in all aspects of gastroenterology and hepatology.
Dr. Nachiondo enjoys patient care, skiing, road cycling, scuba diving, traveling, running and spending quality time with his family. He is proud of his Spanish and Basque heritage and celebrates diversity.
