Dr. Pendyala moved to the United States after completing his medical education and residency at Christian Medical College, Vellore, India. He completed his residency and fellowship in Texas and New York. After completing his GI fellowship, Dr. Pendyala moved to Carson City, NV, to begin his practice with Gastroenterology Consultants in August of 2012. Dr. Pendyala enjoys all aspects of gastroenterology and hepatology. His special interests include the diagnosis and treatment of esophageal disorders such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and liver diseases including Hepatitis C and non alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). His research interest includes obesity and its related GI complications such as GERD and colon cancer. Dr. Pendyala’s research work was presented in national and international meetings and published in reputable journals. Outside of work, Dr. Pendyala enjoys spending time with family and friends. His hobbies include traveling and exploring new places and learning about other cultures.
